New Series "Mercan Köşk" Premieres on atv in Fall 2026

Turkish television is preparing for the highly anticipated premiere of a new dramatic project — the series "Mercan Köşk". The show, which will air on atv in September 2026, has already generated significant interest due to its star-studded cast, experienced creative team, and unique filming location — a historic mansion in the ancient city of Tarsus.

The lead roles are played by popular actors Kubilay Aka and Hafsanur Sancaktutan. Kubilay Aka portrays Aras — a man forced to carry the burden of a great secret to protect his family. Hafsanur Sancaktutan plays Cemre — a former police officer who, after her husband's disappearance, finds herself at the center of dark events connected to the Mercan Köşk mansion. Interestingly, the actors are a couple in real life, and this is their first joint project in leading roles, which has sparked additional interest among viewers. The cast also includes well-known actors such as Mehmet Özgür, Bertan Asllani, Zeyno Eracar, and Tülin Özen.

While plot details remain under wraps, it is known that the action will unfold in a luxurious historic house, which gave the project its name. The key location is the historic Hayürnisa mansion, which is called "Mercan Köşk" in the series. This building, recently restored by local authorities, creates an authentic atmosphere for the story. The mayor of Tarsus, Ali Boltaç, personally visited the set, emphasizing the importance of such projects for promoting the region. In addition to the mansion, viewers will be able to see the picturesque orange groves of Çukurova, which will add visual beauty to the series.

A powerful creative team is working behind the scenes. The director is Yahya Samancı, the original story was written by Ahunur Serdaroğlu, and the screenplay was also worked on by Atilla Özel, Nalan Merter Savaş, and Nuriye Bilici. The musical score for the series was composed by Toygar Işıklı.
