Deniz Can Aktaş on marriage to Devrim Özkan: a decision for two

On October 23, 2026, Turkish media, including Güneş, reported on actor Deniz Can Aktaş's answer to a question about marrying actress Devrim Özkan, with whom he is in a relationship. Both star in the NOW series "Yeraltı."

Aktaş said that at the wedding of Itır Esen, where Özkan caught the bridal bouquet, he watched her from a distance. According to him, there is no need to attach so much meaning to it: the bouquet simply landed with Devrim, the girls were having fun, and such things are part of tradition.

On marriage, the actor said he cannot answer alone because it is a decision made by two people. When two people make it, a marriage happens, but in his view naming a date or making predictions goes against the nature of the matter. He added that he had already spoken about how serious the relationship is, and that saying anything concrete now would not be right.

The answer sparked debate on social media: some commenters called it too harsh, others suggested the couple is acting for as long as the series runs, and still others concluded that the actor is not thinking about a wedding. Neither Aktaş nor Özkan has commented on the reaction. Güneş's headline suggests the answer could cause a crisis, but there is no confirmation of any quarrel.

Rumors of a romance appeared in summer 2026, when the actors were reportedly spotted holding hands while on vacation in the United States; there was no confirmation at the time. In July, back from vacation, Özkan answered journalists' question about when the relationship began with a smile. On September 22, Sözcü published photos of the couple at a friend's birthday party, and in early October Özkan officially announced the relationship on social media. Earlier, Aktaş said on a program that there is a love in his life that makes him happy.

Özkan previously dated Galatasaray footballer Lucas Torreira for a long time, while Turkish media name actress Hafsanur Sancaktutan as Aktaş's ex-girlfriend.

Devrim Özkan was born on September 2, 1998, in Muğla and graduated from the acting department at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University. She starred in the film "Mavi Mağara" alongside Kerem Bürsin. Deniz Can Aktaş is known for roles in the series "Hudutsuz Sevda" and "Kasaba Doktor."
