Zeynep Eronat

Zeynep Eronat was born on July 9, 1963, in Istanbul, Turkey. Her father was a musician, so her childhood was spent in various cities across Turkey; from the age of 13, she lived in Ankara. Encouraged by her mother, she entered the Theater Department of the Ankara State Conservatory in 1981 and graduated in 1985. Her teachers included renowned stage masters such as Cüneyt Gökçer, Semih Sergen, Bozkurt Kuruç, and Lemi Bilgin. After graduation, she began her career at the Bursa State Theater and, from 1987, worked at the Ankara State Theater. In 2006-2007, she retired and moved to Istanbul to continue her acting career. She gained wide recognition for her role as Ziynet Kara in the series "Parmaklıklar Ardında" (Behind Bars, 2008-2010). Among her other notable works are the series "Asmalı Konak" (2002), "Sıla" (2006-2007), "O Hayat Benim" (That's My Life, 2014-2016), "Kızıl Elma" (Red Apple, 2014), "Uzak Şehrin Masalı" (Tale of a Distant City, 2021), and the films "Mustafa Hakkında Herşey" (Everything About Mustafa, 2003), "Neredesin Firuze" (Where Are You, Firuze?, 2003), and "Sen Ne Dilersen" (Whatever You Wish, 2005). For her role in "Sen Ne Dilersen," she won two Best Supporting Actress awards at the Altın Koza Film Festival (2006) and the Ankara International Film Festival (2006). She enjoys painting, especially watercolor, and practices yoga and reading. She is known for her involvement in charitable projects, particularly those related to animal protection and environmental initiatives. Zeynep Eronat is unmarried and has no children.
