Serenay Sarıkaya

Serenay Sarıkaya was born on July 1, 1992, in Ankara, Turkey. Her parents are Mustafa Sarıkaya and Ümran Seyhan. When she was seven, her parents divorced, and she moved to Istanbul with her mother. She graduated from the theater department of Ataşehir Adıgüzel Fine Arts High School. She began her acting career in 2006 with the film "Şaşkın" (Clueless). She gained widespread popularity for her role as Sofia in the series "Adanalı" (2008-2010), as well as leading roles in "Lale Devri" (The Tulip Era, 2010-2012), "Medcezir" (Tide, 2013-2015), and "Fi" (2017-2018). She won two Golden Butterfly Awards for Best Actress for her role in "Medcezir" (2014, 2015). In 2019, she made her theater debut in the musical "Alice" (Alice Müzikali). Her recent works include the Netflix series "Şahmaran" (2023) and "Aile" (Family, 2023-2024). In 2010, she placed second in the Miss Turkey pageant. In her free time, she enjoys sports such as volleyball, basketball, and tennis, as well as Latin dancing. She is passionate about reading and traveling. She supports charitable projects focused on animal protection and helping children. She has a unique and powerful voice and often sings in her own projects. In 2021, she became the first-ever Turkish brand ambassador for Bulgari. She is single and has no children. She had high-profile romances with actors Çağatay Ulusoy (2013-2014) and Kerem Bürsin (2015-2019).
