Kanbolat Görkem Arslan

Kanbolat Görkem Arslan was born on November 4, 1980, in Düzce, Turkey. He began his acting education in 1997 at the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Acting Workshop and later graduated from the Theatre Department of the State Conservatory at Hacettepe University. His acting career started in 2004 with the series "Çemberimde Gül Oya", but he gained widespread recognition for his role as Mahir Çayan in the series "Hatırla Sevgili" (2006-2007), which earned him deep respect from audiences and critics. He appeared in many popular projects, including "Ezel" (2010), "Yer Gök Aşk" (2010-2012), "Tatar Ramazan" (2013-2014), "Poyraz Karayel" (2015-2016, as Sefer Kılıçarslan), "Hayat Bazen Tatlıdır" (2016-2017), "Kuruluş Osman" (2020-2021, as Saru Batu Savcı Bey), "Destan" (2021-2022, as Saltuk Beg), "Alparslan: Büyük Selçuklu" (2022-2023, as Kutalmış), "Yabani" (2024, as İskender), and "Kudüs Fatihi Selahaddin Eyyubi" (2025, as Gümüştekin). He also actively worked in theatre, performing in plays such as "Tatyana", "Köpeklerin İsyan Günü", "Öküz", "Uyarca", "Woyzeck Açısı", "Godot'yu Bekler-ken", "Hiçbi Şey Olmamış Gibi", and "Ruki Çingene Boksör". The actor was also known for his musical work and voice acting. Kanbolat Görkem Arslan was a deep and multifaceted personality. He approached the role of Mahir Çayan with great responsibility, spending a lot of time studying history and talking with people who lived through those events. Colleagues and friends noted his humanity, sincerity, sense of humor, and professionalism. Kanbolat Görkem Arslan was married to Hicran Akın from 2021 until his death. On February 10, 2026, the actor suddenly died of a heart attack at his home in Beyoğlu, Istanbul, at the age of 45. He was buried at Zincirlikuyu Cemetery.
